Liz has happy memories of her grandparents' dairy farm in Mannington, and although she wasn't directly part of the operations, the solid work ethic and dedication to preserving this important way of life sticks with her to this day. Her idea for the farm started small, as a gift of two goat stuffed animals and a book about raising goats that she gave Phil, and the years' long search for the perfect home and farm culminated in rural Elmer, New Jersey. She, like Phil, enjoys getting her hands dirty and loves to learn how to do new things on her own. Maybe that's why they get along so well. Rescuing stray feral cats and putting them to work as barn cats has been a gratifying experience. Oh, and the goats are fun too!
